Mr. Liu is a patent attorney in the firm’s Japanese & Korean division, who primarily handles patent practices for clients from China, Japan, and Korea.

Prior to joining East IP, Mr. Liu accumulated extensive practical experience in an intellectual property agency for over 6 years. Mr. Liu is well-versed in Chinese, Japanese and Korea patent laws and patent practices, and is currently involved in patent specification preparation, dealing with office actions (OA), reexaminations, invalidation, and counseling on strategy.

Mr. Liu has handled 700 patent applications in China, Japan and Korea covering a wide range of fields including batteries, rubber, resins, chemical industry, medicine, cosmetics, biopolymers, inorganic materials and machinery, which has earned him considerable praise from domestic and international clients.
