In January 2025, the Intellectual Property Prosecution Office of the Supreme People’s Procuratorate (SPP) issued the “Management Measures for Technical Investigators”.  The new measures provide standards for recruitment methods, job requirements, responsibilities, and participation requirements for technical investigators. The SPP Intellectual Property Prosecution Office, working together with the SPP’s Prosecution Technology Information Research Center, has already hired its first batch of 60 technical investigators.
