Mr. Lin is the Manager of the Electrical Patent Division of East IP. Mr. Lin joined Beijing East IP in 2004. He has more than 15 years of experience in IP in China, focusing on protecting leading-edge electronic and computer technologies.

Mr. Lin’s primary technology areas include telecommunications, computers, Internet, integrated circuits and optical instruments. Mr. Lin’s practice also covers software patents and business method patents in China.

As an attorney-at-law, Mr. Lin also has rich experience in litigation, including handing cases before the Patent Reexamination Board and courts at all levels.

In recent years, Mr. Lin has also been helping domestic startups and large corporations in creating and managing patent portfolios around the world.

Mr. Lin obtained a B.S. degree in Optical Engineering & Photoelectric Instrumentation from Zhejiang University, and a M.S. Degree in Computer Technology and Application from Institute of Software of Chinese Academy of Science. Mr. Lin also has three years of research experience with the Shanghai Institute of Optics and Fine Mechanics, Chinese Academy of Sciences.
