Alicia MA has been practising IP law for more than 10 years with the experience of handling litigation, prosecution and enforcement issues. She has advised and represented many international and domestic right holders across various industries, involving all types of cases including trademarks, copyrights and unfair competition. She has extensive experience in intellectual property litigation and enforcements.

Work Highlights

  • Represented Treasury Wine Estates in a trademark infringement and unfair competition case and obtain favorable judgments with the application of punitive damages and awards of for more than CNY 70 million. This case was selected as one of ten typical cases of judicial protection of intellectual property rights in Beijing courts in 2025.
  • Represented Treasury Wine Estates in an invalidation action against “奔富酒园” trademark and obtained a favorable retrial judgement from the Supreme People’s Court.
  • Represented THE COLOR RUN in an invalidation action and obtained a favorable retrial judgment from the Supreme People’s Court, thereby securing the registration for “THE COLOR RUN” trademark.
  • Represented Beam Suntory in a trademark infringement case and obtained a favorable judgment from Sichuan High People’s Court.
  • Represented Beijing Urban Construction in an unfair competition case and obtained a favorable judgment for the trade name “北京城建” being recognized as an influential enterprise name.
  • Represented Treasury Wine Estates in a refusal case of the trademark “TREASURY WINE ESTATES” in relation to absolute grounds and obtained a favorable retrial judgement from the Supreme People’s Court, with the court fully recognizing the fame of “TREASURY WINE ESTATES”.
  • Represented Liepin in disputes over online infringement liability and obtained a favorable judgment from Beijing Internet Court.
  • Represented Ping An in an unfair competition case and obtained a favorable judgment from Chaoyang District People’s Court.
