Mr. Dong has entered the patent consultancy field since 2017, building on his professional background in chemistry. Over the past decade, Mr. Dong has handled patent matters in a wide range of fields including chemistry and other emerging technologies, both domestically and internationally. Mr. Dong is primarily involved in patent application preparation, prosecution, and reexamination practice. He is also involved in Chinese-Japanese and Chinese-English translation of key patent documents.

Mr. Dong has provided professional services to numerous well-known corporations in fields such as electrical engineering, pharmaceuticals, metallurgy, food, polymer chemistry, inorganic chemistry, and coordination chemistry. His clients include Peking University, the Institute of Microbiology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, COFCO, Tasly Group, Zhengda Tianqing Co., Ltd., Autoliv Co., Ltd., Kansai Paint Co., Ltd., Arakawa Chemical Industries, Ltd., and Suntory Holdings, Ltd., among others.
