Mr. Jiang obtained his Master’s degree from the University of Sussex in the UK, and joined the firm in 2018, after having gained several years of experience as an associate at another firm.

At East IP he represents clients from startups to multinational companies in the areas of finance, cosmetics, food, medicine, and high technology.

Work Highlights

  • Representing multinationals in trademark portfolio management and brand protection in China, including application strategy, copyright recordal, domain name disputes, possible actions against preemptive registrations, etc.
  • Won various oppositions and invalidations before the CNIPA, representing multinationals, removing bad faith marks by squatters to protect and secure the client’s brand names.
  • Won numerous opposition and invalidation actions for clients, removing pre-emptive registrations while clearing the path for the registration of the clients’ own marks in core classes.
