Ruby has practiced intellectual property (IP) law since 2009.

She has advised and represented many international rights holders across a variety of industries on all types of IP issues counselling, including trademark searching, filing and prosecution matters, trademark administrative litigation, trademark enforcement, copyright registration, customs recordal and protection and other contentious and non-contentious IP-related matters.

Ruby is experienced in all types of IP registration and enforcement, with a particularly strong expertise in trademark-related matters.

Work Highlights

  • Represented a world-renowned wine group in management and maintenance of thousands of trademarks in the name of different wineries held by the group, including trademark opposition, invalidation and cancellation actions in the mainland of China and other jurisdictions.
  • Represented a world-renowned spirits and liquor group in management and maintenance of all trademarks in the name of different distilleries held by this spirits and liquor group, including trademark opposition, invalidation and cancellation actions in Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, the mainland of China and other jurisdictions.
  • Represented a world-renowned industrial association in management and maintenance of all of its trademarks including the Certification Mark, and trademark opposition, invalidation and cancellation actions in the mainland of China.
  • Represented many domestic and foreign companies in the field of Internet Technology in management and maintenance of all of their trademark registration and enforcement matters, and software copyright registration matters in the mainland of China.
  • Represented many domestic and foreign companies in the fields of medicine, energy, clothing, beauty in management and maintenance of all of their trademark registration, investigation and enforcement matters, and copyright registration matters in mainland of China and other jurisdictions.
  • Represented other domestic and foreign companies in management and maintenance of all of their trademark registration and enforcement matters, copyright registrations, complaints and arbitration of domain names, customs recordation and protection matters in mainland of China and other jurisdictions.
