Ms. Li obtained her Juris Master degree from Beihang University, and joined the firm in 2013.

Ms. Li represents clients ranging from startups, Fortune 500 corporations to multinational companies in network, technology and other industry areas. She has handled hundreds of trademark prosecution matters before the CNIPA, dozens of trademark court appeals before Beijing courts, various domain name disputes and other IP related matters.

Work Highlights

  • Won court appeal cases representing Cisco before the Beijing IP Court and the Beijing High Court, obtaining favorable judgments affirming the well-known status of Cisco’s mark and granting cross-class protection.
  • Won a court appeal representing Refinery 29 before the Beijing IP Court and the Beijing High Court, obtaining a favorable judgment affirming the client’s prior copyright.
  • Won a court appeal representing GEA before the Beijing First Intermediate Court, obtaining a favorable judgment affirming the key issue of relatedness between goods in different subclasses.
  • Won hundreds of opposition and invalidation cases before the CNIPA representing Cisco, preventing squatters from securing registration or resulting in removing marks from register, obtaining affirmation of the fame of the Cisco trademarks and key house marks, safeguarding Cisco’s goodwill and the distinctiveness of marks. Helped Cisco obtain well-known trademark recognition as affirmed by the CNIPA.
  • Won multiple domain name complaints under the UDRP policy and CNDRP policy, representing many leading companies in various industries.
