Joined EAST IP in 2021, after previously practicing at other leading IP firms in China. Since graduating with a Master’s Degree in 2014, Guimei has worked in the field of intellectual property for more than ten years, and has provided high-quality intellectual property services for a number of leading-edge domestic and foreign companies. Guimei is familiar with the requirements of China, Europe and the United States, and other overseas countries for patent applications, especially those in the field of biomedicine.

At Beijing EAST IP LTD., Guimei is mainly responsible for patent practice in the field of biomedicine and chemical materials, and provides legal counseling services and patent application related services for foreign patent applicants entering China and for Chinese patent applicants seeking to file in foreign countries. Guimei’s practice focuses on patent reexamination and invalidation, drafting patent applications, responding to patent office action, and advising clients on patenting strategies. Guimei has handled over 1,000 applications over the span of a decade.

Guimei is in charge of the patent affairs of many Chinese and overseas enterprises and universities, assisting enterprises and universities to obtain their patent rights.
