Experience

Jack Jiang graduated from Renmin University of China and City University of Hong Kong with a Master’s Degree in Civil and Commercial Law and a Master’s Degree in Common Law (LLM).

Jack joined East IP in 2024 and is a partner in the Shanghai office. Prior to joining the firm, Jack was a partner of Beijing Zhong Lun (Shanghai) Law Firm, after spending approximately 15 years working in a government agency.

Jack has been engaged in intellectual property work for 19 years, independently handling over 3,000 intellectual property cases and participating in more than 10,000 cases of various kinds. He has also been involved in the drafting of several judicial interpretations and guiding opinions related to intellectual property

Jack has published over 30 professional articles in the field of intellectual property and has authored many publications.

Jack primarily provides legal services for leading enterprises in a variety of industries, specializing in intellectual property litigation, compliance, management, and major civil and commercial litigation.

Work Highlights

Represented Baotou XinKe’er Sleep Technology Co., Ltd. in an appeal case against Jinan Yuanqigu Sleep Technology Co., Ltd. and Luo XX for trade secret infringement, the Supreme People’s Court overturned the original judgment and supported all claims of the appellant.

Represented Honggong Technology Co., Ltd. responding to a lawsuit lodged by Shenzhen Shangshui Intelligent Co., Ltd. and others claiming trade secret infringement. The court dismissed all of the plaintiff’s claims.

Represented Zhongshan Sofia Electric Co., Ltd. responding to a lawsuit lodged by X Company for trademark infringement. The plaintiff withdrew the lawsuit.

Represented Tencent in a case filed by Jia XX challenging the validity of the “Tencent Video VIP Membership Service Agreement” standard terms. The court dismissed all claims by the plaintiff.

Represented Tencent in a case against X Company concerning the validity of the arbitration agreement. The applicant withdrew the application.

Represented Tencent in a lawsuit against X e-commerce platform for “failure to fulfill keyword filtering obligations” involving copyright infringement and unfair competition. The parties reached a settlement.

Represented Sun XX in a second-instance contract dispute case against Cao XX; Hefei Intermediate Court overturned the first-instance judgment and ruled in favor of the plaintiff’s claims.

Represented Honggong Technology Co., Ltd. in a patent rights ownership dispute case against Shenzhen Shangshui Intelligent Co., Ltd.
