Trademark License Recordal (and De-recordal)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Trademark Office (TMO) of CNIPA allows the recordal and de-recordal of trademark licenses through simplified e-filing, as well as through paper filing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When filing electronically, it is not necessary to provide the TMO with a copy of the license agreement between the parties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Further, for e-filings \u2013 but not paper filings \u2013 there is no need to secure signed application forms from the licensee.\u00a0 Thus, the entire process can be handled by the licensor on its own.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">All applications must however be accompanied by a recent version of the licensee\u2019s business license.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As for de-recordal applications, however, rules issued in 2021 require that e-filings must include a copy of an agreement signed by both the licensee and the licensor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Recordal<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table no need to restrict list of items to terms appearing in licensor\u2019s TM registration, provided they do not exceed the scope of the
